Change in compensation for delays for Movingo
From January 8, 2026, the calculation factor used for compensation for delays with Movingo will be adjusted. The change is being made to create a clearer and more consistent system, in line with how other transport operators calculate compensation.

New prices from 8 January
There will be new ticket prices for those travelling with Mälartåg single tickets and the Movingo seasonal ticket starting from 8 January 2026.

Trains replaced by buses November 14–16
Trains on the routes Hallsberg–Katrineholm–Södertälje Syd and Vagnhärad–Södertälje Syd will be replaced by buses during the weekend of November 14–16, 2025, due to planned track maintenance.
Expect longer travel times and changed departure times.

Fewer departures Stockholm–Uppsala 28 October
Also on Tuesday, October 28, there will be fewer departures between Stockholm and Uppsala due to extended track maintenance in Knivsta and a track fault along the route.

No trains to or from Uppsala, October 24–26
From Friday, 24 October at 13:00 until Monday, 27 October at 05:00, Uppsala Central Station will be completely closed to all train traffic. Replacement buses will be operating, but the traffic situation will be strained.

More departures from December 14
In the new timetable effective from December 14, 2025, train services and connections will be expanded and improved on the Eskilstuna–Västerås–Sala route.

For Movingo passengers traveling Västerås–Stockholm
Do you have a Movingo ticket purchased before July 5 and are traveling with SJ Regional between Västerås and Stockholm?
You may see incorrect information stating that Movingo is “not included” – but your ticket is valid, and you can travel as usual.

You can no longer purchase new Movingo tickets in the Movingo app. To continue traveling with Movingo, you need to download the Mälardalstrafik app instead. There, you can buy tickets and access several improved features that make traveling easier.

Changed departure times from Eskilstuna C to Stockholm
Starting from June 16, trains from Eskilstuna towards Stockholm will depart one minute earlier than usual due to a speed restriction on part of the route.
