How services will be affected
Norrköping–Nyköping–Vagnhärad
28 March–6 April
During the entire Easter week and Easter weekend 2026, Saturday 28 March at 00:45 until Monday 6 April at 14:00, train traffic will be suspended due to the construction of Nyköping Travel Centre.
On 7 April, the new platform for track 1 at Nyköping C will open. It can be accessed via the old station building.
Replacement buses
Trains will be replaced by buses on the route Norrköping–Nyköping–Vagnhärad.
Passengers must change to/from trains in Vagnhärad. Two departures will have buses replacing trains all the way to Södertälje Syd. See the journey planner for details.
During weekday rush hours in Easter week (30 March–2 April), bus services between Nyköping and Vagnhärad will be reinforced.
Prams and bicycles on replacement buses
You may bring folded prams or smaller prams that fit in the bus luggage compartment.There is less space for bicycles on replacement buses than on our double-decker trains, so bicycles may not always be allowed onboard.
Temporary replacement bus stop in Nyköping
At Nyköping C, a temporary stop will be used for replacement buses 28 March–6 April. Buses will depart from
Järnvägsgatan stop B, next to the station building.

Changed walking routes in Nyköping
The existing northern pedestrian tunnel at Nyköping C will permanently close on 27 March. At the same time, a temporary pedestrian route along Brunnsgatan will open.
If you are travelling to or from districts north of the railway station, allow extra time to reach the station and the replacement bus stop.

Parking
The commuter parking area on Norra Bangårdsgatan in Nyköping will permanently close on 27 March.
Alternative route
Passengers travelling Norrköping–Södertälje Syd–Stockholm can travel with Mälartåg and change in Eskilstuna or Flen. Search for your journey in the app or on the website.
Why train services are suspended
The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) is building Ostlänken, a new double-track railway between Järna and Linköping. The aim is to modernise infrastructure and create faster and more reliable train travel in the future. The construction of Nyköping Travel Centre is part of this project.
Track work Hallsberg–Katrineholm
3 April – 7 April
Trains will be replaced by buses during the Easter weekend, Friday 3 April at 02:00 – Tuesday 7 April at 02:00. This is due to planned track maintenance. The route Katrineholm–Stockholm will run with trains as planned.
Why train services are suspended
Trafikverket is carrying out several infrastructure works, such as switch replacements, cabling and installation work for the ERTMS traffic management system
